History

The Beemsterboer Holding was founded in 1943 by Mr.J.P. Beemsterboer, who started out trading in seed potatoes at a very young age. The company expanded after the war to incorporate various other agricultural products. There was an increase in the need for conditioned storage of agricultural products in the '60s. Koel- en Vrieshuizen J.P.B., the current BCS (Beemsterboer Coldstore Services B.V.) was established in 1963 in response to this. BCS has since continued to grow steadily and strongly and now has a 28.500 pallet conditioned storage capacity..

BCS Harderwijk BV

Our  affiliate in Harderwijk has a capacity of 28,500 pallet spaces, and was fully renovated in 2011. During the renovations a new environmentally friendly cooling system was installed, new computerised import, storage and retrieval techniques were implemented in the coldstores as well as an ultramodern, fully automatic inventory system, and extra pallet storage areas were established.

Over the years, BCS has grown to become an independent and dynamic company. 
Occupying a special position in the national and international market for conditioned storage and logistics. We use track and trace methods to guarantee optimal flow for your goods streams. We also look after and check your products, provide the accompanying documentation, and handle the import duties.

Our location in Amsterdam has a capacity of 5,000 pallet spaces and can be reached by both road and water. In 2015, we had a complete new environmentally friendly cooling system installed at BCS Amsterdam.
